Believe me i have searched alot before posting this, so:

I have an acer 5920g Laptop

it comes with the intel 3945abg which doesn't work.

on some advice here i bought the following:

BroadCom BCM94321MC 802.11n 300M Fit Dell Apple NJ449.

afaik this has the BCM4321 chipset which should work natively,

it doesn't work natively using iDeneb 1.5.

So is it right that i have the 4321 chipset?

should it work natively?

in windows it recognizes as Dell 1500

could anyone send me in the right direction?

are you using Chameleon2 for boot system?

Hi! I just bought a BCM94321 off ebay. OOB it showed up as third party wireless and I got on wireless b speed out of it. btw it's a mini PCIe card with a dev id of 4328. so i tried the broadcom enabler sript and managed to get g speed out of it. then I tried rebranding the card in linux. it now shows up as AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x87). network utility reports it as an ABGN card with 130Mb/s connection, BUT in practice it's back down to roughly 8Mb/s. Argh! I should be getting N class speeds! ideas anyone?

Hi,

I bought a Broadcom card off Ebay as well, plugged it in expecting it to work. No luck; however if you tape up pin 20 (the radio on/off pin I believe) you can then use airport to turn it on/off. Pin 20 is the second pin on the large connector on the back.

Hope this helps someone
