I can only get osx to boot if i use the flag cpus=1 I would really like to use all 4 cores, as i just bought this cpu and what good is a toy if you can use it completely? motherboard ASUS P7P55D-E LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail cpu Core i5 750 2.66ghz quad core Memory CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) I used the iATKOS v7 distro updated to 10.5.8 if anyone can help me to get all cores working i would appreciate it! Would upgrading to snow leopard help my situation at all? mattgfx Posted January 25, 2010 Author Share Posted January 25, 2010 Figured it out. I used iatkos v7 distro originally and had no luck Found a guide to install Snow Leopard thru retail disk. It detects my RAM at correct clock and my i5 750 with 4 cores.
