Posted in the wrong section first, here it goes again:

 

 

Got everything installed, video card drivers LAN, sound, etc. I dont know if this is driver related, but im usually just chillin, listening to itunes and reading emails/browsing the web when this thing rolls down the screen:

im assuming this is some sort of kernel panic. im guessing this is normal, I just wish there was a way to figure out what the hell is causing this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

Hardware:

stuff not listed in my sig:

Intel P35

ALC888 on-board audio, using VooDoo

Realtek8196 LAN

250 WD IDE drive for start up, apps, data, etc.

Try booting using the following boot-flags:

-v debug=0x144

 

This should display useful information at the time of the crash instead of the splash screen. Try to take a clear picture of the error msg and reply back.

 

Did you do anything recently such as updating? How long has the system run without this problem.
