jagdesh Posted January 11, 2010 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Hi all first of all congrats and job well done to OSX 86 Guys!! thanks for Iatkos V7 you guys Rock!! Well now i have installed Iatkos V7 all went well during install no problem at all But when it restarts and the apple grey screen appears with the wheel spinning....right after that i get a blue or green screen and right after that my problem starts!! The screen goes blank nothing comes!!! the computer is running but nothing comes on the screen I then close the lid of the laptop and wait until it goes into standby mode and the blue light on my dell starts to fade and come back up telling me that my computer is on sleep or standby mode now thats when i open the lid again and the display comes back up and i can start using the MAC OS X I do not know what i am doing wrong why cant i have the display from he start!!??? why do i have to close the lid wait for the laptop to enter standby mode and then i can start working!!?? Please does someone has a solution to this problem?? I have checked the forums as well but i just got lost in the amount of information and problems posted by other users.. Also one more thing when i installed the Iatkos V7 for the first the computer booted up and at the time when i should be seeing the welcome video i got the blank screen as well...i had to wait for the computer to get into the user information mode and also in the standby mode and then i brought it back from sleep and the display is fine I need to do this always!! or someone can help me with the solution!!??? I have also updated the MAC OS X 10.5.6 to 10.5.8 now and the same problem persists Sometimes when i start my computer up it comes to the boot screen where you see the green animal and the apple sign below when the computer is booting the progress bar finishes and then it just hangs ...this happens sometimes and then i need to re-start the computer so many times until it boots and shows me the Grey Screen again... I've successful installed 10.6.1 on my Dell Inspiron 1525 everything works, only two issues, one the audio is not very loud, and two the track pad touchy, as well as PreferencePane for track pad gets reset from sleep and I have not been able to get two finger scroll to work Just do a search for Inspiron 1525 Snow Leopard retail cant ref here since I have not found a desent one on InsanelyMac. jagdesh Posted January 12, 2010 Author Share Posted January 12, 2010 Hey thanks for your input But now i have installed Iatkos and also upgraded to 10.5.8 How can install the retail version of snow leopard now from my current version i have tried installing it from 10.5.8 itself When i click install it starts to install and shows me time remaning 54 mins when it comes down to 45 mins my laptop just re-starts automatically and i am back to square one I tried booting from 132 boot cd and then installing the retails version of snow leopard also but when it says loading Darwin and the cursor rotating... the cursor stops rotating and it just hangs Now I am happy with the 10.5.8 itself but i need the following 2 things to work 1. My display : like i said when i boot and after the Grey Apple screen with the spinning wheel finishes the display screen goes blank and then i need to close the lid and wait for the computer to go to sleep and then open the lid back again and then the display comes back...Please need help !! to fix this!! 2. My Webcam is not working: When the webcam comes on i get only a green screen and cannot see myself at all Need Help guys !! please!! enochpc Posted February 11, 2010 Share Posted February 11, 2010 I am a noob, but I think I can help you with your display. I used iDeneb and the guide below to install on my Inspiron 1525. You don't need to reinstall, but if you scroll down the guide a little ways there is a link to a sleep fix. Install, fix disk permissions and reboot and you should be good to go. I believe the driver download has a webcam fix as well but I can't vouch for it, my laptop doesn't have a webcam. Thanks in advance i have iatkos on my dell; i had the same problem. reboot from the iatkos dvd, get to customize, check the VGA driver, uncheck everything else except post-install option. install, reboot. should be good to go. sksatyajeet Posted May 4, 2010 Share Posted May 4, 2010 Hiiiiii. There is another way of installation. Follow that. It may help you. While booting from Disk, press F8. A menu will come. After that type -v then press enter. wait for some times. some codes will generated. After about 10 minutes, setup will start. Follow the instructions and after finishing the installation, reboot your computer and remove your DVD. Now select MAC OS X from boot selection menu which will appear after reboot. It may help.
