JamesonBowen
I to have a ASUS 9400GT, I used an EFI string generated by OS X86 Tools. I can change resolution and have QE/CI working. No drivers added just a string. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204540-9400gt-wont-work/page/2/#findComment-1361683 Share on other sites
hari om
I'm running SL 10.6.2 64bit on an MSI G41/ICH7 motherboard. I have zotac 9400GT 512MB. The connectors are HDTV Connector at the top, VGA and then DVI. When adding the custom GFX string for the 9400GT what is the order of the connectors when it asks for the custom string ? I think I gave DVI/VGA. My VGA works fine. The DVI works only when booting up as I can see debugs with "-v" flag. But after its loaded, I get a blank screen. The VGA runs in full resolution (1280x1024 for me as of now). Another question, how do I know if QE/CI is enabled in SL 10.6.2 ? Atleast in 10.5.6 it says in the About this Mac->Graphics card that QE/CI is enabled. The Screen Saver flurry test works fine without a spike in CPU (Core2Duo E7500). Thanks HO Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204540-9400gt-wont-work/page/2/#findComment-1364726 Share on other sites
Vini
Running Snow Leopard Universal 3.5 (SL 10.6) I've tried; Own EFI String Macnutty's 9400GT Drivers NVinject.kext NVEnabler 64.kext Nothing but Macnutty's drivers helped. But even then the drivers would allow me to choose a Res higher than 1024x768. Though the max then was 1650x1400 and only via VGA. I'm wanting to use HDMI out (video mainly) and at 1920x1080p as I'm feeding my Denon AV Receiver. Does 10.6.2 offer inbuilt support for 9400GT? kfp4mee
I have a BFG 9400GT 1gig I just got. I can't for the life of me get the thing to work. When I did get the resolution fixed the frame rates are horrid - no QE? I am using Snow Leopard installed with an EFI boot loader running vanilla 10.6.2. The OS works flawless with my Asus, but I really am lost on this after 3 days. I have tried Nvenabler64; Nvinject; CorVidia; EFI strings with mixed results or none. I replaced my 7300LE that worked great with awsome 1080P output but the frames were lagging too much for me. All I want is to use this single DVI output to one monitor at 1080P. If anyone has experience with this card please post what you did to get the sucker to work :pirate2: I have been using osx86 for about a year now and I am learning the core system more now. In S\L\E should there be some Geforce kexts from the vanilla install before some of this will work? I deleted all Ge* Nv* stuff then cleared the cache each time I tried a new injector. If I need these where can I get the vanilla kexts I need without reinstalling? Thanks for the help.
