6600GT PCI-E works fine with natit on Leopard

however in Snow Leopard it doesn't work at all

with 10.6.2 kexts no qe/ci nor resolution changes even with nvenabler

with 10.6.1 and 10.6.0 kexts same thing

with 10.5.8 kexts + natit the screen goes messed up once it reaches the desktop at boot

with 10.6.x kexts + natit once it passes the grey apple boot screen the computer reboots itself

with 10.5.8 kexts + natit + booting into safe mode successfully boot into desktop with resolution changes but no qe/ci

tried EFI strings and nvinject, nothing seems to work

any success stories on 6600GT or any 6xxx series card?

Have you tried with EFI string?

I have nvidia 8400m gs and its working fine... yo need EFIstudio, with that program im able to select my card and write directly in my boot.plist, just a reboot and voila! Rigth there is the string for your card.

If not maybe NVinject.kext works foryou.

Can you try it and post if that works for you?

I have a 6800 AGP working in 10.6.2 using the tip found here for a 6200 AGP. I used PC_EFI 10.5 with GraphicsEnabler=yes and the DSDT mod from the link. I changed a couple of the DSDT mod values to reflect the 6800, but pcj said it was important to leave the "reg" and PCIELinkStatus sections alone.

Can you tell me how to change the DSDT values? Please? :P

I have the 6800 GT AGP as well and have been going crazy reading all the guides and such. The link you posted seems like the fix, but the DSDT talk is cryptic to me.

Hello !

Eventually did anyone manage to get a Geforce 6600GT to work on Snow Leopard ?

When i install the system, i can boot but i can't change resolution, it proposes only 1024x768.

Last time i tried to change my settings according to what i have been advised, i ended up with nothing at all appearing on my screen ! (the system loads, i can the the apple logo and then when i'm supposed to reach the Desktop, the screen turns black).

Hi There, I have got a 6600GT PCIe 128MByte working under SL 10.6.3 like a charm. Two Monitor Setup, full resolution support, can play Videos & run Games. I just plugged in my 6600gt and used EFIStudio to add my EFI String ( it's quite easy - even for beginners ).

Hope I could help!

I have the same problem with my Asus 6600 128Mb PCI-E.

It works well via strings under 10.5.x but not under 10.6.3.

Have not idea what to do...

I don't want to change my graphic card at this time. I have tried kexts with and without enablers and EFIStudio but no result.
