kernalzero
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824112002 $219.99 Ok, I'm in the market for an LCD screen with DVI support. This monitor fits the bill but I figured I would post this to see if anyone has one and what they thought about it. One of the posts in the reviews section mentioned they had some trouble with drivers and resolution. I figured that would be more of an issue with video card drivers but it makes me concerned running OSX on it. Any thoughts?

bofors
Looks decent to me, but also likely a case of "you get what you pay for" and this is cheap. I would probably pick the very similiar ViewSonic VA1912wb instead for a number of reasons, including that it from more of a "name-brand" manufacturer, it is explictly "Mac-comptabilte", meaning you should have less potential for any driver related issues, and it is actually cheaper that the Spectre: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16824116373
kernalzero
Thinking about that Viewsonic too. I like it but am concerned about the 500:1 contrast. I'll probably buy the viewsonic for my mactel and buy a larger better monitor for gaming on my windows box. thanks bofors!
bofors
I would not worry about the 500:1 at all. A lot of manufacturers specs are {censored}. That ViewSonic has gotten good reviews at and NewEgg and I expect that it has gotten the same on hardware review sites. Chances are that the actual raw 19" panel that both ViewSonic and Spectre are using is coming of the same line anyways.
