1. Check all your cables and make sure the hard disc is attached properly and the jumpers are set right.

2. Wipe the hard disc and try a reinstall.

3. If that doesn't work, restart while holding command-option-P-R until you hear three startup chimes.

4. Reseat the RAM. Sometimes the RAM will be weird and OS X will recognize bad RAM and just refuse to work.

5. OK, that didn't work...Open your Mac and press the CUDA button (it's the only pressable button in there iirc).

6. Do you have a G4 upgrade in there? They will sometimes cause problems with an upgrade, so put back the original G4 processor in the machine. You can always put the G4 upgrade back in afterward.

7. Try buying new ATA cables and repeat the process.

8. Your hard drive is most likely really messed up. Buy a new hard drive.

If those steps don't solve the problem, them most likely there's something seriously wrong with the logic board.

Ive installed Leopard succesfully on my AMD Sempron 3100. I used the Zephyroth 10.5.2 Install Disc, but there were problems.

When I wanted to install the System with the disc, anything seemed normal until I rebooted the computer. The System locked up in the "Choose your Keyboard layout" screen.

But I found a solution:

I installed Tiger first and then I upgraded Tiger to Leopard. So the screen wasnt shown to me anymore, and I just had a fine install.
