lopdog
Hi! I recently installed the iPC OSx86 Universal 10.5.6 release on a partition of my Windows 7x64 system. Everything works smooth, and the Chameleon 1.0.12 works perfectly. I have three boot options: System Reserved (loads windows) Windows 7 (doesn't work) Leopard (loads Leopard) Option 3 is default, but since I'm not the only person using this computer I'd like to change the options to load Windows 7 as default OS. I have no idea how to do this, but I suppose it is possible. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/201470-edit-chameleon-boot-order/ Share on other sites
scwhar
<key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(x,x)</string> add this to apple.com.boot.plist in /extra (of wherever you installed chameleon) - (x,x) must refer to your system reserved partition (find numbers with disk utility in snow) Although if people cant use osx or choose w7 off chameleon maybe you shouldn't let em loose on your computer! RocketSledder77
I am having a similar problem. I want to make my Windows partition the primary/first boot partition. It's setting is disk 0, 2. I setup my boot.plist like this: <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,2)</string> I screwed it up and it won't boot anymore, thankfully I backed up everything. I'm not exaxtly clear what I am suppose to put in the first line. Orgininally it said "kernel" on that line and I just replaced it with "default partition". I'm not sure what do. Also is there a way to restore the boot.plist from in -s mode or in teminal?
