bitblaster
a few posts down there is a guide. I did not follow it at all and still got it to work yesterday. I just removed it this morning and went back to Windows because it does not support my wifi card, and ndiswrapper is out of the question... too much would have had to be changed. Anyhow, what I did was, just download the ISO off of bittorrent (isohunt.com, thepiratebay.com, etc), and then download the patch... and then apply the patch to the ISO, and then burn the DVD, and then I was all set. Remember, to do this, you have to have a DVD writer and common sense. I also had to re-partition my harddrive in the apple setup by doing it this way... so be careful when doing it. If you are already using Linux, I would assume that you have Linux compatible hardware... so you might get some of your hardware working, but as far as I know, nVidia drivers are not supported... only Intel is, and AC97 sound... I am sure someone will write drivers in the future, though. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2014-i-can-on-my-pc/#findComment-13042 Share on other sites
SaxMachine
On IsoHunt.com there are two versions called: "marklar-tiger (no sse3 check)" and "marklar-tiger patch". both of 4GB size. What's the right one? If I would to reinstall all, beginning from zero, putting in only the os x and win xp, what do I must do? p4m
For multi-boot you got already grub installed so the fastest way is to install Marklar-Tiger DVD patched with MAXXUSS 0.5 in a new HDD or a partition (p.e. you can leave space for it resizing the winXP partition) I'm italian too, if you need more help pm me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2014-i-can-on-my-pc/#findComment-13049 Share on other sites
p4m
You can start with Marklar-Tiger.dmg (about 2.8 Gb) then follow the instructions in this Guide to get a suitable DVD for a SSE2-only Pentium4/no-GMA900/no-TPM checks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2014-i-can-on-my-pc/#findComment-13051 Share on other sites
