Hi.

I have put the Snow Leopard vanilla installation on to a USB flash drive. I have included the proper boot loader and everything. Everything goes fine during the start-up of the USB/installer but once it gets past the verbose mode and on to the graphical part of the installation it freezes. It just freezes at a PALE grey screen -- no apple logo or wheel.

The Apple logo and wheel show up when I run it non-verbose, but it still does the same thing (pale grey screen). What could it be? I've tried putting my working GMA 950 drivers on to the USB but it doesn't fix it (but according to Chameleon the installer is using VESA, so I'm sure the GMA 950 drivers wont affect it at all).

Has anyone else encountered this?

I have the following on my USB:

'boot'

'Vanilla Mac OS X Snow Leopard Installation Files'

'Extra/com.apple.boot.plist'

'Extra/DSDT.aml'

'Extra/Extensions/AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/fakesmc.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/LegacyHDA.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/OpenHaltRestart.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/PlatformUUID.kext'

'Extra/Extensions/SleepEnabler.kext'

Much help appreciated, thanks.
