Most Compatible, Most Affordable PCI sound Card

Hi. The only remaining hurdle is my AL883 sound chip that's not working (and the sleep but I just turn the monitor off anyway). What's the most affordable and most compatible PCI sound card for Snow Leopard (post brand and model)?

 

If there is none, name the top 3 USB based sound card

This page may not be the most helpful thing, but it's a good start. You could probably look at a 10.6.0 HCL too. Do some googling, I'm sure you'll find something.

Only one recommendation. The SYBA USB audio adaptor (http://bit.ly/mADf9). I shopped around for a while for PCI, but finding one with well supported drivers is rare, and this one just works, and it's $7.99. Plug and play. Works in Windows Vista, 7, Ubuntu, and Leo/Snow Leopard without drivers. My highest recommendations.
