an1r0n
Oracle / Sun just released new verison of their desktop virtualization software VirtualBox 3.1. Main differance from other simmilar products (e.g. VMware Workstation etc.) is that VirtualBox had support for 3D in previous verisons. The following feature is great and worth testing: "The (Experimental) support for a virtual EFI (which means that the product could run a copy of Mac OS X over time)" Check out all of new features here and download VirtualBox 3.1 here! Info about EFI support in Release Notes here ! ! ! So if anyone is interested to test virtualizing Mac OS X, please post your results. Personally, I do not have time to try it for next month but I hope someone will have time to try. Good luck! Common Sense
Virtual Box is open source right? Maybe the implementation of EFI emulation can help the developers making Chameleon to implement better EFI emulation in the bootloader? Donk
I really hope so! Actually the EFI BIOS is derived from the Open Virtual Firmware project run by the UEFI organization themselves. https://www.tianocore.org/ - see the news for 1st December.
