    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Hey, you said you have R9 270 Sapphire? I have it too. I can't get more than two ports working at the same time, any combination. I'm currently using 2x DVI. No issues whatsoever.

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Aaaand I have new issues : ) Just to be clear, I'm doing this build for my buddy, so that's why I cannot test everything out immediately. - Looks like Clover doesn't like big monitors. I have 2x 30" 2560x1600 monitors, and what happens is really weird... both monitors get detected BUT no higher resolution than 1280x720 is available! What's even stranger, 2x 24" get's detected right away, with their full resolutions 1920x1200. When I switch to chameleon both 30" monitors work in their full resolution. So this could be Clover issue? - I cannot seem to get more ports than two working. I have 2x DVI, HDMI, DP. Only two monitors at a time work, any combination. I'm using Clover with R9 270. Would love to hear some suggestions : ) Cheers! edit: I installed R9 270, disabled aty kext and have options EDID and ATI injection checked in Clover.

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Just want to update everyone with my success! I finally managed to get R9 270 working perfectly! Thank you Vlada and VirusX for your help! Here's what I did: - Switched from Chameleon to Clover. Will NOT work without Clover. I installed Clover on Macintosh HD (not EFI partition). - Installed Vlada's wonderfull kext package, I only disabled atyinit.kext. - I used /selected ATI inject and EDID inject. I did it with Clover Configurator (it's easier). No DSDT patching needed. That's it! So far I got two DVI's working perfectly, I didn't had a chance to test out HDMI and DP but will this Sunday (since I don't have the monitors here). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Hey guys, So Ive been pretty desperate lately. Since installing R9 kexts do work (but recognise card as 7xxx series as described in a few posts above) i tried DSDT injection. Ive hit the wall, I do not know how and keep failing adding the injector via dsdt editor. Can someone PLEASE help me out? here is my DSDT. https://www.dropbox.com/s/lwesmyasq9t3woc/DSDT.AML Thank you!

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Hey guys! Here's an update. I've updated to 10.9.3 then installed 1.7 version of Vlada's kexts. Graphics card is not fully recognized, only like 7xxx and it's working on x1. I've attached the screenshot. - I've tried the script mentioned in sticky post, no luck after reboot - I tried editing kexts as Vlada suggested but kexts already have device ID 0x68111002 (among others in a row). - Only two video outputs work at the same time. Currently DVI-D and DVI-I. Any DVI and HDMI also work, but not all three together. I also have DP but I havent tried it. Here's how graphic card outputs look. What am I doing wrong? Check out the attachment. Thanks!

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

@ee_tinerer Hey buddy, no I didn't had chance to try it out due work. I'll do it tomorrow and let you know. Currently both DVI's work, HDMI only if one DVI is unplugged, so just two monitors.

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Hey Vlada, Thanks for your response. I'm a little confused, so do I have to download your pack, install it and run the patch from terminal? Afterwards edit the kexts for R9 270? Thank you!

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Looks like both you and Vlada are active tonight : ) Thanks for your response and thanks for letting me know about Vlada's update! I'm downloading his updated package! Question for you ee_tinkerer, did oyu manage to get all ports working on your card? Can you have more than two outputs at the same time (utilizing all ports) ? Thank you! Cheers! edit: No luck! Instaling new version from Vlada still gives no result! : ( @ee_tinkerer could you upload the three kexts you managed to get working? I believe Vlada will also benefit from comparing it with his own kext as well. Thanks!

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

Hi Vlada! First, thank you for your efforts! I have Sapphire R9 270 2GB and I'm having a few issues. I'm not using DSDT, instead I'm using your kext pack. - Graphics card is recognized as AMD Radeon HD 7xxx but Profiler shows 0x6811 - Biggest issue is that I cannot have more than two output ports working, only dvi-dvi or dvi-hdmi (doesn't matter which order, I haven't tried DP). Can something be done about this? After updating to 10.9.3 from 10.9.2 my R9 270 is no longer recognized (8MB card showing and no acceleration). I ran your kext package again and still nothing is recognized : ( Please help! I'll be more than happy to return favour if you have paypal account : ) Cheers!
  14. Hi, Small question, how does Mac Mini manage temp management under ESX? I reckon it gets pretty hot with a few VM's on?

Good news afoot in 10.8 Mountain Lion for Fermi cards

YEAAAH! So 460 works according to Blah101! Any fermi freezes / KP's ? I'm downloading 10.8 right now and will post my results over weekend. I'm using Gigabyte version of GTX 460 768MB ! I bet there won't be freezes since it seems that AGPM is finally history acording to Rominator! YEA!
