Pioneer dvr-216bk - 0x80020025 errors.

Someone recommend me a 100% working DVD drive for snow leopard?

Seems weird I have that drive in my spare machine it works fine. How are the settings in the BIOS set/what kind of controller is it attached too Intel or Jmicron?

Edit: I guess it is the D version but it should not make a difference.

Pioneer dvr-216bk work great but sometimes I lost the drive with following message:

Pioneer DVR-216BK is a SATA drive. I have IDE disabled in BIOS (EP35-DS3L). I don't have JMicron in BIOS.

BIOS Settings:

SATA AHCI Mode: AHCI

SATA Port0-1 Native Mode: Disabled

Onboard IDE Controller: Disabled

Those would be the correct settings and with the L board you have I don't think it even has the purple connectors which is the Jmicron (Gigabyte they call it on boards that have it) so I think you should be good as the only ones it should be on are the yellow Intel controlled bus. One idea left check in the Energy settings in System Preferences and un-check the "Put had disk(s) to sleep if possible" I had a problem with that before.
