What's the difference between VMware Workstation and VMware Player?

I'd just like to try developing some iPhone applications from inside Windows 7.

I'd also like to use that VMware SVGA II driver since it seems to provide a bunch of hardware acceleration.

Finally, what's my best option for obtaining/installing Snow Leopard into VMware with that SVGA II driver?

Thanks so much for any help!

The newest VMware Player 3.0 has support for making new virtual machines (which previous verisons didn't have) although I am not sure if you can virtualize Mac OS X since you have to modify some of the programs file (VMware Tools). VMware Workstation is much better choice with more options. But, If you have have time, why not try if new Player works.

The best choice is to read all the Donk's manual and go step by step with VMware Workstation 7.

Cheers

Should work with Player 3 as well. (Same code just different UI.)
