dj_myk
Hey guys I am trying to install Mac os on my pc, I have downloaded form the torrents versions 10.4.4 and 10.4.6, and i cannie get either of them to work I burn the boot disk with Nero, and I reboot the PC. I am planning to install on a spare 20 gig hard disk, which is formatted in NTFS Upon restart I press the ANYKEY to boot from CD, and i get a prompt asking me to press Enter to install. Then it jumps to a darwin loading black screen then the Apple power icon apears on the screen asking me to restart, so I do and it keeps going around in a huge monster cycle Any ideas My pc spec is AMD XP 2000 512 RAM 20 Gig Seagate drive NEC DVD wrewriter Biostar IDEQ 200N barebones system Help please Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19745-help-installing-mac-os-on-pc/ Share on other sites
Deviant0ne
You're not going to be able to install as your proc doesn't have at least SSE2. Sorry. About the only way you can install at all is though an emulator such as qemu. Note, if you choose to go this route the install will not be native, you'll have to run OS X through the emulator, and your install will probably be slow, to say the least. You could invest in some new parts though for pretty cheap... Deviant0ne
If none of the Soc-A procs you found support at least SSE2, then you're out of luck. SSE2 is the absolute minimum for OS X. Sorry.
