slvrknght
Hello everyone, I just downloaded the kalyway 10.5.2 and installed it into a partition on my laptop. But after the smooth installation, the os boots up into a gray screen and over it the voiceover asking me if i wanted to configure my mac os x using voice over software is heard but nothing can be seen....i have an intel core duo processor with 1.5 gb ram and on board AGP with intel 945 gm chipset? how do i solve this issue? During installation, I did not install any graphics card drivers because the only option available was 950gm chipset and i dont know if it is compatible with 945gm chipset?? pl help out.. ninetto
At darwin boot press F8. Then use the flags -x -f to force start in Vesa mode. It may also be that your gpu is outputting to an external monitor. Have you hooked up an external to the other port? There are other posts (various solutions) dealing with fixing this. good luck, ninetto Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197384-kalyway-1052-compatibility-issues-with-intel-945gm-chipset/#findComment-1330615 Share on other sites
slvrknght
Hi Thanks for the suggestion ninetto...I tried re installing mac os x and this time i just installed the intel 950gm chipset drivers hoping that the compatibility would work out.. thankfully it did and the issue settled...but now i have other new issues to sort out i guess. The os does not recognise my inbuilt keyboard of my laptop but an external keyboard connected via the USB port works beautifully...I wonder if it could be solved by installing the drivers for my built in keyboard..If so, can anyone tell me where I can find them? On a similar note, Mac os does not recognise my wireless card for the wifi Lan (I have an Atheros RX5006 adapter 802.11 b/g) but it recognises the bluetooth radio perfectly. I was hoping for any ideas to sort this issue out.. The final problem which i've found as of now is that the tap function of my trackpad doesnt work..but the buttons work perfectly. Am I the only person with this problem or has anyone else also faced a similar issue?? Thanks a ton in advance!! Lord_Jeremy
Ok for the keyboard you probably need the ApplePS2 or somesuch kexts that are floating around. For the wireless, as far as I know most atheros cards are supported somehow. Do some searching around with the Search box towards the top of the page.
