alex_time
I Successfully installed ideneb 10.5.7 in a ide hd, using a sata dvd. I used the board with the default configuration. Used the vanillla kernel, smbios800 and the ichx patch. The installation went ok and wen i rebooted i was getting the error "using 16384 buffer headers..." i then had the lucky move to try to boot the system with a pen drive i made to try to install snow leopard, without success, and using the pen, with the latest chameleon on it, and the Extra folder in the attachment, with a modified dsdt, i successfully booted and configured the system. I made the pen using a vmware image of leopard, but any pc running osx can be used. if you guys have problems, say something. Marco Hi Marco, I tried to install chameleon and the EXTRA directory on a empty pen, but that pen does not work, it simply displays a black screen when I try to boot from it...you say you used a pen drive you made to try to install snow leopard, could you please explain how you have created it?! I think that the chameleon installer it is not enough, isnt'it?! Kabooka
Hi Tried following your instructions , but i seem to have a problem with the installation. It seems that in my installation of iPC 10.5.6 i cant find the options. Figured it out, it turns out that i needed the iPC 10.5.6 PPF5 Final Release & not the Beta release. Installed & everything works without a hitch. BTW, i can upgrade to 10.5.7 but, if i upgrade to 10.5.8 my hack doesnt boot , it just sits at the apple logo before the boot.
