i have tried -v, -x, etc but the installation always reboots itself. i know the dvd (iDeneb) works cuz i installed on laptop. i have tried a different version (iPC) and same problem occurs. the system reboots a few seconds after the darwin install. ususally its at the onset of the gray screen with silver apple in middle. it visible for less than a second before the sys reboots.

any ideas what could be causing this?

have you tried to boot with "busratio=20" yet? That has gotten me to the apple logo of most install disks when every DVD i've tried has auto rebooted on me. maybe even add "cpus=1" to it. As for what's causing the problem, i have no idea lol.

thnx the busratio=20 was the fix. im able to install now however it is rebooting again after the install and it reboots without giving me a error msg even under verbose mode. i tried bursratio=20 again but nothin, also tried -x -s -f . always reboots. hardware incompatibility?

I have installed Leopard on few EX58 boards, all with iAtkos 10.5.7. Boot DVD with "busratio=20" and reboot normally after installation. At first, the Preference in FINDER doesn't work, after update with 10.5.8 COMBO update, it's fixed.
