I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 (no built in wireless though). After reading on this forum about people getting their wireless card (broadcom chipset) to work by modifying the AppleAirport2.kext, I'm thinking about buying a wireless card to make my laptop fully functional in OSX. The one I'm looking at is the DELL TrueMobile 1350 Wireless Mini PCI. Do you guys know if it works and has full function under OSX86 (WEP...etc)? By the way, does the Mini PCI or PCMCIA version make a difference in getting OSx86 to recognize the card? Thanks.

I have a TrueMobile 1400 in a D800 and it works great, after modifying the AirPort2.kext as outlined elsewhere. As long as it's a Broadcom chipset, it should work, but there are no guarantees, as with anything else ;)

My Truemobile 1350 is working fine in my Inspiron 8600. WEP, WPA and everything is working, after I did the broadcom airport2.kext change. I am typing this wirelessly, and it's awesome!

Just bought a Dell True Mobile 1350 on Ebay. Once I get wireless on my Inspiron 8600 I will switch over to OSx86 completely (maybe boot back into windows to print or something).
