bliss
Hi! I've got a very strange problem with my pro keyboard. under osx86 sometimes the "normal keys" are avalible and then the "special keys" (CD-drive key/Sound keys) are gone (when i press them nothing happens) that was like it was the last weeks NOW, since today funny things are going on: the normal keys are gone, but the special keys are still avalible... when i unpluck the keyboard and then plug it on everything normal again (for about 20-60 minutes) on some days there are NO problems with it. everything works normal all the time. under Windows theres nearly the same problem, just that ALL keys work, or not. the keyboard disappers with a gong gong just to apper 2-10 seconds later. thats very bothering special in games... anyone knows what this could be? damaged keyboard? buy a mac? maybe the usb port hasn't got enough power because of the 2 extra usb ports on the keybord? i mean, its a very new board with usb 2. i have no other devices in the keyboards usb. in the Sysrem profiler it shows like this (attachment) i noticed that the bus has got 500 mA - the keyboard uses 250 mA so this should fit, shouldn't it? greetings, bliss Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19618-very-strange-thing-with-apple-pro-keybord-on-pc/ Share on other sites

node64
i never had issues with mine, but maybe u should look in ur bios and check that a setting called IOACPI is enabled, as far as i understand the keyboard is actually in fact multiple usb devices, (keyboard, USB hub and Eject switch). when i had a standard wndows keyboard plugged in usb, i had the problem where it would stop working everyso often until i unplugged/plugged it again. sounds like the same problem but where just the keyboard part is needing unplugged in fact.
