redfaction
Hi, I succesfully made a Snow Leopard retail install on my PC (Asus P5QL Pro with modified bios). I installed Chameleon to enable multiboot. I installed Leopard 10.5.6 on the second partition of my hard drive (using an usb external hd with the restored image file of the leopard DVD) using the OSInstall.mpkg but when I reboot and try to select my leopard partition, I have the boot screen during 0.5 sec and the PC reset. I don't understand. I tried to boot from the Leopard DVD to make a new install but I can't boot anymore from it. Any idea ? Sorry for my poor english, I am french Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195190-snow-leopard-and-leopard-on-the-same-disk/ Share on other sites
Air
I would also like to get snow leopard and leopard working together, and I'm using chameleon like most people, but I hear that chameleon will always and only use the Extra folder from the active partition, so you'd have to switch the active partition each time you want to boot into the other OSX. I did, however, somehow manage to get both working at one point...on a GUID partition scheme, I had efi, then SL, then blank space, then Leopard, and I don't know which partition was marked active but both OS's loaded. I then moved the leopard partition to the blank space so it was right next to SL, and it still worked, but once I installed windows 7 onto the empty space, leopard stopped booting, and I got a "invalid frame pointer 0" kernel panic. so, it IS possible, somehow, and with chameleon, but I just don't know what I did right. ideas?
