papa_6
Hi! I bought the Asrock P4Dual-915gl mainboard and a 300Gb sata drive for my new osx86 machine. I installed the goatsecx 10.4.6 version (with -x -v because I had graphics problems) and everything went ok. But when I boot up osx I have to use -x because without it the graphics always go strange. I see the cursor, but everything else is strange (blurry). At installation I chose the GMA900 10.4.6 update, and isn't that the one that I have in my asrock board? I understand that i may need a other patch for graphics when it wont work, but what patch is it? And how is it done? Everything else seems to work, I can change resolution and all (in safe mode) and my A-Open firewire card seems to work too.... I became a father in monday and I'm going to bring my wife and daughter home from hospital today. I have a Sony handycam that will be used much now, and for that I need my osx86 machine to work for editing babymovies :-). Can someone help a happy father? Victor Gil
Maybe you should try installing the drivers again, deleting del Extensions.mkext and Extensions.kextcache and reboot. I have a AsRock Motherboard too but with a Radeon 9600XT, and install Goatsecx without any problem.... rkwok
delete this file from your extension folder: appleintel915.kext, then goto http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=24...523066965593919 download the GMA900pkg.dmg file and install it, then everything will work including CI and QE, I have the same motherboard and everything runs great. quixos
asrock 915gl user here, works pefectly with both gma900 and ati cards. get a Jas 4.4 or 4.5, and update to 10.4.6 manually. just a suggestion. i know nothing about the particular DVD you've downloaded, but why in the hell would you choose something called Goatsecx? i mean, if a company came out with a new and improved cancer fighting toothpaste named Goatsecx, i'd cough up a lung first.
