Hi,

I've looked for this one, but no one seems to have addressed it yet.

I'm running 2 graphics cards, an ATI 9200se and a GeForce 2.

I've gotten them running individually and can switch via reboot and bios change, but i can't get them both at once for a multi-monitor setup.

OSX shows them both in the profiler but it won't let me set the second one active, regardless of which one that is.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Z.

Uh, it'snot possible on Windoze either.

Works out of the box with windows.

And this is why i keep going back to XP, even though i'm writing this on my iBook, when i do real work i like having a second monitor.

I've tried linux and it's theoretically possible, but the ATI support in linux sucks to.

I had really hoped I would be able to get OS X to do it.

I wish there was a way to manually edit the display config like you can xorg.conf file in linux.

oh well.

In fact, Mac OS is not the problem.

I have a Powermac Dual 867 runing with two video cards in a 4 monitors set up, and runs better than my other 4 monitor system in windows.

In Mac OS the Apps remember where you left the different windows. In XP, some do it, but is not the rule. MacOS is great with visual interface things. The problem is the actual state of OSX86 runing on generic PC hardware, laking god video drivers support-yet.

Let's see what can be done. I hope someone can get a solution for the multi-monitor issue on OSX86.

cheers

Ric
