my problem is that is is really really really slow, it takes ages to startup and my hdd led is glowing all the time, my cpu usage is very high and i already removed this file:

AppleTPMACPI.kext

Well what can i do to fix this slow cheetah ?

snipe

you need ATI addon Patch for 10.4.3 or JaS.10.4.6.install.dvd.PPF1.PPF

for JAS 10.4.6.......... and try disable USB Legacy support in BIOS

can you please tell me what JAS means ? i'm just new with osx86 so i really don't know anything about all these dvd's and stuff.

correct me if i'm wrong:

you mean that the latest version of mac osx x86 already got a patch or something for my ati chipset ?

thanx in advance

ok i'm further now, i've installed the osx version 10.4.6 natively on my laptop... after that my cpu usage keep's high... i used the ati patch for my chipset. booting is really quick. When i'm in my interface everything is ok but it is slow but not extremely slow. So is there anybody that can tell me what this mean ? maybe i need to install my x700 pci-e card ?

I have an MS-1029 (The whitebook version of the m635).

The key reason for the slowdown is lack of DMA support for your hard drive. You need to get the sb4xx ata patch. Also, the x700 graphics takes a little trickery to get working, PM me what you've got and I'll see what we can come up with.

Also, be sure you're using an SSE3 kernel. I'm similarly slow at the moment but I SUSPECT that's because the CPU's working it's arse off rendering all that pretty apple stuff. Graphics acceleration should bring you up to acceptable levels, and I'm working on that now for mine.

i didn't think you could natively install the deadmoo image...it was just a DD install. I have been wrong before. If i were trying to install OSx on this laptop I would try a VMware install of 10.4.6. Might give you better performance among other things
