mkzsniper
I installed it natively from Deadmoo's. The 10.4.6 disk got stuck while booting with waiting for root devices, that's why I installed it natively. Any solution? boo50
your problem is with ATA controller. search the forum for the ATI x200 series fix. and with JAS 10.4.6 install DVD you'll have no problems. just check ATI ATA fix in the customise install. Meltro
I have an MS-1029 (The whitebook version of the m635). The key reason for the slowdown is lack of DMA support for your hard drive. You need to get the sb4xx ata patch. Also, the x700 graphics takes a little trickery to get working, PM me what you've got and I'll see what we can come up with. Also, be sure you're using an SSE3 kernel. I'm similarly slow at the moment but I SUSPECT that's because the CPU's working it's arse off rendering all that pretty apple stuff. Graphics acceleration should bring you up to acceptable levels, and I'm working on that now for mine. Meltro
update: the x700 is going to be a biatch, see http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=16246 for details Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19280-my-notebook-with-osx-is-very-sloooowwww/#findComment-130392 Share on other sites
kernalzero
i didn't think you could natively install the deadmoo image...it was just a DD install. I have been wrong before. If i were trying to install OSx on this laptop I would try a VMware install of 10.4.6. Might give you better performance among other things Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19280-my-notebook-with-osx-is-very-sloooowwww/#findComment-130424 Share on other sites
