jpo
I have had my GX280 Happily Running Snow for some time now, when my motherboard decided to fry like a chicken so i made a new system with a replacement motherboard, the Biostar G31-M7 TE (Cheap as Chips!) Motherboard. Since then all attempts to install iatkos have failed. I can boot and install using cpus=1 -v, but when booting into the os for the first time it just hangs. Has anyone installed IAtkos on this motherboard before? specs: Motherboard: Biostar G31-M7 TE ver 6.3 Chipset: NorthBridge G31, Southbridge ich7 Cpu: Intel P4 LGA775 2.8ghz HT 1GB DDR2 Ram Graphics: XFX Geforce 7200gs 256mb PCI-E 1 X Toshiba Sata 110g HD 1 X Maxwell Sata 40g HD 1 X Lite-on Dual Layer Burner IDE Thanks in Advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192799-help-insatlling-iatkos-v7-biostar-g31-m7-te/ Share on other sites

The only thing is that the onboard ethernet on the card did not work for me and still does not. My way out of it was to get a D-Link DGE-528T pci card and used the followind kext: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... t&id=36247 I used ##### to install and seconds later finally had a very fast connection! The only thing now is that it will not boot by itself, like the P55-USB3 does, but it is a very nice Hackintosh right now. Have to leave the install CD. Now that it is disabled it works without any problems so far. Thanks all! iamNTS
I have the G41-M7 which is almost the same as the G31. I disabled EHCI and booted with EmpireEFI with a Mac Retail DVD and it installs no problem. I then got the Realtek installer from Realtek and i'm in business. Since I have a nvidia 8800GT I just had to use GraphicsEnabler in my plist under /E Using Snow Leopard with 10.6.4 update. dolphans1
This is the Mac OS X 10.6 driver for Realtek 8169S(SB)/8168(B/C/CP/D/E/F)/8101E/8102E/8103E/8105E. After the system is rebooted, please follow the following steps to configure the network: 1. Select the "System Preference" from the system menu. 2. Select and launch the "Network" item in the "System Preference" folder. 3. From the "Configure" list, select the adapter to be configured. 4. Configure the settings. 5. Click the "Save" button.
