juzza
Hi all, I am having trouble with my HD4850 and thought I would try the latest version of PC EFI... I've downloaded it and have the boot file sitting on my desktop - what to do with it? I've tried searching everywhere but can't find the answer Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/192509-how-to-update-pc-efi-to-104-from-103/ Share on other sites

gawkersucks
You can also execute the following command from the terminal to backup the 10.3 boot file. cd /Voumes/<bootdrive>/ mv boot bootbak This will rename the invisible boot file to bootbak and make it visible so you can put it somewhere for safe keeping. Drop the new boot file in the root and you will be good to go.
