Is there anyone here who doesn't have QE or CI, but can still run their machine fine? I want to use GIMP, office, iLife, (no graphic intesive), and maybe iwork if I can, possibly some aperature. Is there anyone here who has gotten along fine without it. I'm on an 845G brookdale, and I've come to the conclusion, it's proably not gonna happen, so until I can replace my personal PC with an Intel mac, can this be done. Is there any patch to get iWork working without QE, because that's the only one I have conflicts with. Thanks.

dont think so... No one, as far as I know, has successfully gotten a 9200 to do QE.

If you have a pci express board with a 945 chipset, GET A FRICKING Radeon X1600... it's awesoooooooome.

If you want anyways.

I hate Steve Jobs and everything he stands for... but I'm mega tempted to buy a mac now =[

I have no CI or QE. Most of iLife works fine except iDVD and iMovieHD. iWeb works perfectly after turning off hardware acceleration. Aperture BAIRLY works. Office works, but its a little sluggish. Havnt tried iWork, but would imagine keynote probably wont work.

iMovie, I'm not to terribly concerned with. I want iWeb, iPhoto (iDVD, I'll use toast instead, and again, don't make movies). Keynote, well, it'd be nice, but it's ok if I don't have it, same with iWork. So, would you reccomend I switch from Windows again, or just stay put? And if I do switch, how do I turn off this acceleration feature?

Okay... this is how this site should be organized. Newbies have to pay $10 to ask a question, $9 of which goes to the person answering it, $1 going to site maintenance. The higher up you need to direct your question, the more it costs, so the admins and gurus can buy their snazzy MacBook Pros, and the lesser gurus can upgrade their paltry 7500 and 384mb of ram to something worth running any OS on.

Thus, all shall prosper.

:hysterical:

Thanks for clogging my thread,
