I have an eMachines E725 laptop on which I tried to install either iPC 10.5.6 and iDeneb 10.5.5 to no avail.

iPC worked. but

WIFI - doesn't work

AUDIO - no avail

DISPLAY - stuck with 1024x768

AFAIK my wifi adapter is AR5007EG, I installed the driver included with iPC and tried the other tutorials there (kisMAC method) but didn't work.

Everytime I install the kexts for X4500 intel series it goes black after the bootloader. (well I can see a display but with no backlight LOL)

Audio, I tried everything ALC882, ALC883, ALC262, and Azalia drivers but none of them worked. (I think my HDAudio is ALC272 but I can't find drivers for it.)

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

@makurei86

Sorry my English is not good

I am glad to have found someone who has the same hardware.Snow Leopard 10.6.1 is on my drive disk installed

Everything went very well!. I wrote the installation instructions in German.

It would be interested with me as you have Leopard installed, you can put a how-to write in English

helpful to us, my how-to can you found here. Hardware works very well:

Hi makurei86,

First you must download "DPCI Manager" and than read out the hardware with it.

An example:

8086:2 a42 Intel Corporation ERROR: Unknown Device

8086:2448 "82,801 Mobile PCI Bridge

8086:2919 'ERROR: Unknown Device

8086:2934 "USB UHCI

8086:2935 "USB UHCI

8086:2936 "USB UHCI

8086:2939 "USB UHCI

8086:293 a "USB EHCI Controller

8086:2937 "USB UHCI

8086:293 c "USB EHCI Controller

8086:2940 "PCI Express Port 1

8086:2942 "PCI Express Port 2

14E4: 4315 Broadcom BCM4310 USB controller Coporation

8086:2944 Intel Cor. PCI Express Port 3

1969:1062 Attansic Technology Cor. ERROR Unknown Device

8086:2929 Intel Cor. Mobile SATA AHCI Controller

8086:293 e "HD Audio controller

8086:2930 "SMBus Controller

8086:2 a43 "ERROR: Unknown Device

8086:2 a40 "ERROR: Unknown Device

Then you must search the ID. number from your W-LAN

For example, see the list:

14E4: 4315 (Broadcom BCM4310 USB controller Coporation)

Then open the terminal.

sudo su

nano / System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/Info.plist

Search for "IONameMatch" is there a list with different ID's, change a into "pci14e4, 4315" and save the Info.plist.

and restart the computer if Mac OSX will open go to the Control Panel and activate the wireless Internet connection.

I give you my AppleAirBrcm4311.kext in which you can edit your ID number. good luck

IO80211Family.kext.zip

Ok another update got WLAN to work properly now but the B of just turning on kisMAC everytime you want to connect sucks.

VGA driver still doesnt work properly (getting a black screen [NO LCD BACKLIGHT] display)
