kylegypo
Hey it seems I'm getting some interference or what ever when playing COD4. I'm presuming its down to my new graphics card (9800GT 1GB DDR3, Ignore signature). Its funny really because its a constant buzzing sound that reacts to the movement of my mouse according the XY... for example the pitch increases the higher on the screen the mouse is and seems faster the further to the right of the screen the mouse is lol. Also since installing my new graphics card sometimes when I boot the mouse is really jumpy so I have to sleep or restart to fix it but sometimes it can be the keyboard where I press a key and it repeats it 4 or 5 times. LLLLiiiikkkkeeee tttthhhhiiiissss. Any ideas? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188804-sound-of-mousegpu-through-speakers/ Share on other sites

Just ordered a USB 3d sound stick from ebay for $3, those are natively recognized by SL. kylegypo
I wish that was a solution but as this is my hackintosh for my studio I need to use my current audio interface. kylegypo
i see you have OC'ed your system do you also have the same problem on stock speeds?? Honestly I don't know because I hardware modified my CPU to OC as my bios has no options for OC. BUT it only started doing this since the new graphics card and I have had it OC'd since forever. remcokatz
BMUMPPNMUPNMUPNMNNNN BUMP! Sounds coming from your motherboard when you move your mouse are really common to asus motherboards. Quite strange that it started happening when you got a new GPU though. I think you might have to consider a different GPU to see if the interference goes away. p.s. Those sounds are really common in my level of expertise: overclocking. It mostly happens with asus motherboards after they have been used for overclocking for some time. kylegypo
Hey thanks for taking the time to read my post and suggest your solutions. I have just discovered something really strange.. It seems that the noise is defintly the GPU and the sound responds to the position of my mouse because my mouse is controlling the performance of my GPU. I was watching the FPS while playing COD4 and I realised that when my mouse is to the left I get around 32FPS but when its to the right I get a solid 91 and anything in between is respective of how far to the right the mouse is.... strange huh.. hope someone can help . thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/188804-sound-of-mousegpu-through-speakers/#findComment-1287719 Share on other sites
