diptenkrom
i have installed both os's onto a dv6775us hp laptop, which works fine with the osx i might add. my problem is that the windows will not boot after installing osx. i had it setup, and working, then i installed the ideneb. and now it comes up with the error when i try to boot windows below- " status: 0xc000000e info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible." i have r=tryed using startup repair and it will not work. osx boots fine, just windows that doesn't work. i used this thread as a guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=187885 and when i went to check flags in gparted the osx partition was already the flagged one. vilpostus
To be clear: You have Windows installed, then installed OS X After that you can boot the OS X, but can't boot the Windows Tried to repair the MBR via the Windows install disk, but no luck You can't boot to windows even if the windows partition has the "boot" flag Is that correct? How do you boot the windows (e.g where and then did you select the windows to boot)? Do you have the Chameleon installed? If you set the OS X partition to be bootable, then the Windows must be somehow booted via the OS X. If you set the Windos partition to be bootable, then the OS X must be somehow booted via the Windows. diptenkrom
i have not tried to set the boot flag back to windows, so i do not know what that would do... but i have chameleon v2 to choose between the 2. and it does that, but then windows gives me that error. everything else you asked is correct. not sure what the last comment means though... thanks for the response. Do you have leopard or snow leopard installed? I have the exact same hp laptop running iAtkos v7 perfectly fine. I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten snow leopard to run on this machine?
