Pink Waters
I was wondering if snow leopard still has slow system clock/RTC and distorted sound problems with 45nm CPUS like Core2duo E8400, or Core2quad Q9300 with vanilla kernel. Does it still need patched kernel to get rid of those problems? Or those 45nm is now fully supported by vanilla kernel? gawkersucks
My 9650 is 45nm, never had any issues - ran Vanilla on 10.5 and now on 10.6. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187859-45nm-cpus-and-sl/#findComment-1274813 Share on other sites
Pink Waters
I've come across this post where some users describe the issues they are having: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...amp;mode=linear Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/187859-45nm-cpus-and-sl/#findComment-1275115 Share on other sites
Jabbawok
AFAIK Chameleon sorts that automatically. or there is a flag you can use at boot to tell the kernel what FSB the CPU is.
