I heard OSx86's (Or atleast Kalyway 10.5.2's in my case) installer will not boot without a SATA DVD Drive. Which I don't have, I have a Lite-On DVD Burner..in IDE interface.

Now, I heard there was a patch you burn with your DVD, but I can't gind it, I even googled it, nothing, does anyone have the link or T0RR3N7? Please help, thanks!!

Nonsense! I have done all my install with IDE drives. On the contrary it may be some troubles with a SATA drives. Though everything depends on specific hardware and BIOS setting. Also master/salve connection is important.

Hmm. Maybe thats why it didn't work. I didn't even step foot in my BIOS! I just burned at 1x and booted..

can you help me out, I have no idea on what to set for my BIOS; I have a SATA 3.0GB/s hard disk and a IDE DVD Drive in case thats needed, thanks!

Huh? No idea on what a word you just said =/

You told me I have to mess with the slave and master slave things, and I have no idea.

In case its needed:

INTL P4 3.2GHZ HT

INTL D915GSN MOTHERBOARD

LITE-ON IHAP422 IDE DVD BURNER

Please tell me what I have to set for my slave things so I can boot into the DVD, thanks!

Anyway you got me right ;)

As for IDE. Check if the drive is connected as primary/master IDE device. Check jumper settings on the device itself.

As for BIOS. Try enabling/disabling ACHI mode (not sure if your motherboard has such function).
