Bladerunner23
I have recently installed Leopard (iATKOS v7) on my Dell Vostro 1500. More or less everything has been running fine aside from Wireless and the Power management (sleep etc). I just tried to "sleep" as I updated recently and I thought "hmm let's give it a go"... Needless to say it didn't work. And everytime I restart now, it gets to the Apple splash screen, then a dimmer screen comes over and says "you need to restart your computer"... This is annoying me as I have some stuff on there that I don't really want to have to reinstall etc... Any ideas?

GimmeRed
No one can help with this? Just something to try, pull the power and the battery and press the power button for a couple of seconds and power it back up and give it a try.
ChristianS
look at your bios settings, it may be reseted. i have the problem too, the "no execute bit" setting is reseted some times, causing the reboot of leopard.
Bladerunner23
Too late, I reinstalled. Anyone know how I actually get sleep/restart working?

DuoWing
Are you running 10.5.7 or did you upgrade to 10.5.8? When running 10.5.7 I luckily had no issues when it came to using sleep, but once I upgraded to 10.5.8, sleep no longer worked. http://thireus.dareyourmind.net/index.php/...os-1058-install I used the SleepEnabler.kext file I got from that site and that fixed my sleep issue. I'm still wishing I could find a way to reboot/shutdown properly with NVidia drivers.
