lemon
hello everybody, I have a Intel D940GNTLKR board a 3.0 Processor 2 giga ram 1 ata 1 sata (not connected yet) 1 Pioneer DVR108 drive first i used some image from a friend wich is a 10.4.3 he has it up and running. he splitted it in to dmgparts for download I burned it, but it didnt even boot from the dvd. then I used the 10.4.4 Hotiso that DVD boots and the install works flawless and very smooth like a ppc, it restarts the computer but then doesent reboot from the installation. I have no idea why. i looked at the installation with miy ppc showing hidden files looke like everything is there on the first level. I did click the customize button there was one check wich is from maxxus checked. now in stuck. some questions. Can I patch a copy of the original X86 dvd from apple ? I tryed ppf-o-matic 3 keeps crashing. the linux java version runs it tells me that there is no space to patch. also i noticed there is only a binary not dmg in the menue to choose. does it have to be a binary file in order to work ? thanks a lot for the help. Did you get an error message. Can I patch a copy of the original X86 dvd from apple ? Yes, but I do not reccomend it. On OS X, I found that I had to use the command line verison of patch-o-matic. I would like to suggest that you download Myzar's 10.4.5. It works perfectly on my machine. lemon
Did you get an error message. no nothing at all thats the odd thing. it looks like im installing a PPC, but then it looks like the computer doesent see the installation or not even the HD for some reason. the intel bootmagager comes up letting me know there is no bootable device and I should insert some food for him and press any key to digest. it might be a very stupid one, but i have no experience with pcs at all. By now though, I think I understand how the bios has to be set up, but there might be some small stupid mistake, or that DVD image isnt good. Yes, but I do not reccomend it. On OS X, I found that I had to use the command line verison of patch-o-matic. I would like to suggest that you download Myzar's 10.4.5. bofors
I do not think you have a BIOS problem, but I want to know which version you have installed. 1 ata 1 sata (not connected yet) So you trying to install on your ATA drive? Do you have the jumpers set correctly? Why not work with your SATA instead? no nothing at all thats the odd thing. it looks like im installinga PPC, but then it looks like the computer doesent see the installation or not even the HD for some reason. the intel bootmagager comes up letting me know there is no bootable device and I should insert some food for him and press any key to digest. There could be a problem with your DVD drive. Do you have access to any others? lemon
I do not think you have a BIOS problem, but I want to know which version you have installed. NT94510J.86A liooks like its the newest. So you trying to install on your ATA drive? Do you have the jumpers set correctly? the bios drive configurations says : Pimary Master DVD RW -ATAPI Primary Slave WDC Hard drive 40 GB Why not work with your SATA instead? Edit: ok its up and running =) only ethernet doesent work yet Edit: not runnig anymore after restart and I made a ethernet connection. it tryed to boot from DHCP. i turned that of in bios and now it doesent start again. because Diskutillity doesent see it on install neither doese the installer. There could be a problem with your DVD drive. Do you have access to any others? not really its almost new i never really used it i tink i burned more DVDs this past 5 days then since i have that drive. As i said the installation went fine. its as fast as my ppc if not faster. it just doesent seem to see the HD after installation. i could try to make a copy to the Sata drive with something like Carbon Copy Cloner . LeMoN sorry I dont know how to do the nice frames for the quotes =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18490-how-can-we-the-fix-the-on-boardsound-of-gntlkr-10456/#findComment-121211 Share on other sites

bofors
ok its up but no network no Quarz You would not have this problem if you were using Myzar's 10.4.5. and some times it tryes to boot to DHCP You mean it tries to boot off the network? if it doesent boot i have to fix permissions then it boots again. So something is getting corrupted. Well at least you have OS X running now! PS: Here is how you do use quotes on the board: [quote] blah, blah, blah... lemon
thanks again for the help Bofors. now installed the Myzar Imageon the serial ata thats much better Quarz is there core image is there resolution up to 1200 by 1600 256mb V Ram depth is 32 bit Ethernet worked right away. FW is there high speed Usb is there only the sound doesent work. it sayi no built in audio in the sys profiler. it does not work with my M-audio Delta 2496 sound card either. The driver from M-audio can be installed but there is a error saying hant start this control panel preferences problem. after 10.4.6 upodate and security Udate this thing is very fast with 2 gigs of ram. now if there is no better fix Ill try to get that 10.4.3 kext or plist i dont remember =) but its fast as hel sofar. you can smoke a Probook. You would not have this problem if you were using Myzar's 10.4.5. answer: that i found out by now. Well at least you have OS X running now! Answer: Yes myzars =) Part of the problem was probably that there is no AMD disabler in the HOTISO installer. mostlikely some people fiddeled aound with the Myzar image, to make it run on many PCs. PS: Here is how you do use quotes on the board: Thanks for the hint but i didnt manage yet =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18490-how-can-we-the-fix-the-on-boardsound-of-gntlkr-10456/#findComment-121869 Share on other sites
