Hey guys, Im somewhat new to the osx86 project...

I have a fresh install of Kalyway 10.5.1 - all divices seem to be working

What i got..

MSI P965 Platinum

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (I think) @ 2.13

4GB Crucial DDR2 800 (Bios says 800 but OSX says 667?)

nVidia GeForce 7600 256mb - Working with nvinject2.0 @ 1600 X 1200

How do i go about updating to 10.5.8? Last time i got a panic on the combo update.

Something similar to this happened to me as well, the first time, when I updated from iPC's OSX 10.5.6 to 10.5.8.

What I did was installed the combo update and at the end I did NOT restart.

Then executed the other package which was with it. The file name was something with "...tool.pkgb" or something like that. There I chose my kernel (Voodoo) and the nVidia fix. After that finished, I restarted. The first time it booted and automatically restared. I got worried. :thumbsup_anim: The second time it booted up perfectly. :thumbsup_anim:

So guess you find a way changing the kernel or just reinstall OSX and update like I did.

Hope this helps.
