teeching
May 24, 2006 ClearDock, Dock Detox Universal Public Beta On the second tier of Universal public betas of our haxies, here's the free ones. These ones were more or less just a "checkbox and recompile" kind of ports. As the rest, they will expire on May 31, 2006: http://unsanity.net/beta/dock-detox-13b1.dmg http://unsanity.net/beta/cleardock-14b2.dmg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/18422-two-new-haxies-from-unsanitythe-makers-of-shapeshifter/ Share on other sites
xtraa
Thanks for the update I am still wondering why it takes so long to release the unibin of shapeshifter. I know everything has to be different with skinning unibin etc... But even UNO is working meanwhile and this is simply the same. If you would change the graphics in the resource folder of the UNO-app you could easily skin your OSX in any way. quixos
ClearDock works great "for now". my guess as to why Shapeshifter is so long delayed is that they are making sure it doesn't work on non Apple hardware. here is the console output associated with WindowShade X... Console[575]: [APE] is not compatible with the hardware in this computer and therefore will not be functional. To find a list of computers that is compatible with , please go to i'd like to say something about this. people don't buy what doesn't work. i bought Marine Aquarium 2.6, but they have it fixed so it won't accept my serial on this hardware. no big deal, i gave it to a real mac. however, when it's widely known that it won't work on most hobby macs, it'll be "fixed" and distributed for free. they aren't doing it for the money obviously. some people believe that anyone running OS X on a homebuilt system won't pay. i buy software, so obviously that isn't true. those who want Unsanity Products for free will get them. those that would buy them won't if they don't work. is Unsanity so fabulously profitable they don't need every sale? yes, the number of people running OS X on homebuilt systems is small, but a buck is a buck! p.s. i don't expect companies to support the software, on unsupported hardware.
