Mr. Ksoft
I got OSX86 up and running on Vmware and love it. The only problem is that it's so slow. I was going to install it natively, but Partition Magic won't resize my Windows XP partition Is there a way that I can set the Windows XP bootloader to load off the OSX86 VMware image? I want to know if that's possible before I go out and buy another hard drive to run this on. Thanks! Mr. Ksoft
Sorry... but I thought to put it in this section because I already had OSX86 working. And also, I searched already, I'm not sure what to find. Can someone point me along to such a topic with this question? blahsucks
Search for the DD method. Look at Install Guides on the wiki. The "dd method" involves writing the VMWare image to disk. Most people use a preinstalled .img file off BitTorrent, but you can use yours... Mr. Ksoft
No, I was planning to use the DD method to get it going native, but Partition Magic gives me errors if I try resizing my Windows XP NTFS partition. I was wondering if there was a way to boot off the image without writing it to the hard drive. That way it could be treated like a real drive, though it's just an image. And Also.... Most people use a preinstalled .img file off BitTorrent, but you can use yours... I, infact, am using a preinstalled img. That would be the VMware one right? EDIT: Never mind-- it doesn't work. I'm going to make some recovery discs for my computer and then delete the recovery partition to make room.
