Hi,

I love OS X, and have been using it as my main OS for a few days now :)

When I have iTunes playing, and any apps open the sound quality is great, but if i open any PPC apps, such as Office 2004 i get a lot of stuttering from iTunes. It is all ok once the app is open, its just when it loads. Is there a way round this?

Also, I want to install the openoffice unibin release, but apparently it needs X11, now I did not select it for installation when I installed OS X. I have downloaded the one from apples site, but it says a newer version exists on my pc already...what do i do to get X11 installed?

Thanks

HougTimo

EDIT :: The iTunes issue isnt an issue anymore, because I've decided i like MPlayer OS X better, and it works properly :tomato:

whenever your cpu is getting taxed, you can notice a deterioration in audio quality (moreso with integrated chips).. either use a less memory intensive app or upgrade your cpu (or just get a mac :))

lol you never said you had an amd dual core so i automatically thought a slow cpu was the problem. yes the x2 series does suffer from stuttering so just modify com.apple.Boot.plist and 2 lines

<key>Kernel Flags</key>

<string>idlehalt=0</string>

that should fix the stuttering issue.
