GoodWorld
Hi. I have tested to get CI/QE on 8600gt for 2 days, but I can`t get them. ( p5k + 8600gt + e6750 + sata2 hdd ) I have tried nvkush, nvdarwin 1.25, efistudio, universal osx86 installer. How about you ? =========================== [updated : September 3, 2009] ---- ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=183349 ) o CI/OE ====> The menu bar at the top is translucent. ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=181882 No the information has just been removed. ---- So I have used CI/OE. [ Seeing the translucent menu bar of my screen shot below ] My 10a432 could have CI/OE using nvkush or nvinject or nvenabler or nvdarwin or efi string. Tommy
not sure if this would help, but i use NVkush for my 7900GS 256MB. Make sure to boot with -x32. Tommy
does your snow extensions folder have a geforcefxgldriver.bundle? mine didn't and i did not get qe/ci until i put it in there and set correct permissions for it...i used geforcefxgldriver.bundle from 10.5.8...i have an 8800gts g92 and am using nvdarwin... My /S/L/E has GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle and GeForce8xxxGLDriver.bundle, the only mod on this installation is to install NVkush to /S/L/E. I might try move NVkush to my /Extra/Extentions to keep my SL installation 100% vanilla. dparada78
no i guess i was wrong...i just removed geforcefxgldriver.bundle from my snow extensions folder and rebooted and still have qe/ci...i know what i did....i remember now cause i did it at the same time... also edited geforce.kext, nvdanv50hal.kext and nvdaresman kext info.plists with my device id...i edited nvdarwin too...the nvram size was wrong...thats what i did! GoodWorld
To maya77 Can you give me the link about your method ? Did you try the EFI string and the dsdt.aml for your 8800gt ? Does your mobo support AHCI Mode on BIOS ? All kexts in /S/L/E are untouched. I don't know if that help apply to you. Tommy P.S. my DSDT.aml does not have any gfx patch. maya77
My dsdt.aml also does not have any gfx patch. I've created EFi string using EFI studio, then added it to Extra/com.apple.boot.plist as I'm using Chameleon bootloader. Be noted that original com.apple.boot.plist will be ignored when Chameleon is used, so don't make any changes in this file. splonk
Just a note for the EFI string users - extract the string under 10.5 as EFI Studio or OSX86Tools will give bogus information under 10.6. No idea why. This drove me nuts until I found my old com.apple.Boot.plist from Leopard and compared the string on that to the one EFI studio was giving me under Snow Leopard.
