I finally managed to load iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 on my HP 6910p with only selecting the additional apps in the install. I had no idea and didn't see anything familiar to my hardware in the patches section so I skipped them. However, now I'm not able to use WiFi, the DVD Drive isn't recognized and there's no audio.

To make it not sound so desperate here, I just don't know what to do "post-install". I'm completely new to the Mac OS X so loading drivers, new hardware, etc. is completely foreign to me. Could someone please help me with getting everything working with this thing again? It'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is the only info I have on the 6910p...

My USB's still work and I'm able to exchange data that way for now. What do I need to download to get my additional hardware to work? Kexts? Or something else? I'm very new. Please help.

Tried them both with no luck. No change to anything that I can see. When I click on Network, all I have is Bluetooth and FireWire for some reason.

Used the installer for iwi first, restarted, nothing. Then installed the voodoo kext with the kexthelper, restarted, nothing. Read somewhere that the iwi kext could be messing with the voodoo one so I deleted the iwi one, reinstalled the voodoo kext using the kexthelper, restarted and still nothing.

I'm wondering if I'm better off going back to the main OS install and messing with the LAN patch there.

Am I missing something?

Now you're talking.. unfortunately it looks like there's no support for that particular model.

Now that you've got the model number you should be able to find out more on your own.

I wonder what the other "HP" Wireless device on your laptop really is. Maybe there's support for that.

And what about the RJ-45 ethernet port, what make/model is that?

Find out as much as you can..and search.

I found more details about my hardware that can hopefully help. I've been looking around, but I'm still having a hard time finding the right way to get certain things to work. Hopefully some of you may have had the same hardware and know how some work arounds. Thank you.

CD/DVD Drive: MAT{censored}A UJDA775 DVD/CDRW ATA Device

Ethernet: Intel 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection

WiFi: Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG

Audio: SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio

Sleep doesn't work and the wifi package I installed from iwi has the icon in the bar, but won't find any networks. Constantly stuck on scanning.

Once again, any help is much appreciated.

As far as wireless on the Intel is concerned, you won't get it working. There is some hope for the future though with Project Camphor.

For now, just buy yourself a USB wireless adaptor. I got mine for around £12 and it works a treat.

What did you get? Was it plug n play? I was going to mess with the Linksys USB hack, but if there's something easier, let me know please.
