zueski
I am getting these messages that seem to imply that HPET is not working: com.apple.kextd[15]: /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/PlugIns/Unsupported.kext/Unsupported: Undefined in symbol set: _hpet_register_callbackcom.apple.kextd[15]: /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/PlugIns/Unsupported.kext/Unsupported: Undefined in symbol set: _hpet_request com.apple.kextd[15]: /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/PlugIns/Unsupported.kext/Unsupported: Undefined in symbol set: _ml_hpet_cfg com.apple.kextd[15]: /System/Library/Extensions/System.kext/PlugIns/Unsupported.kext/Unsupported: Undefined in symbol set: _rdHPET I am using Voodoo 2 beta 3 on a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P board with 6 GB of RAM. I have the 64-bit and ACPI enabled. How can I get this working? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/178830-hpet-not-working-on-1058/ Share on other sites
mitch_de
Why using Voodoo2 with Core Intel ?! Voodoo is buggy until today and has no really advantages for Core Intel CPUs. Also check Iwith ORegeistry Explorer if HPET is available. Konami®
Why using Voodoo2 with Core Intel ?!Voodoo is buggy until today and has no really advantages for Core Intel CPUs. Also check Iwith ORegeistry Explorer if HPET is available. I quite agree, I tried Voodoo in my build and is not working well. The vanilla kernel works pretty good. Beerkex'd
Flash your motherboard with the latest BIOS for it, and look for a HPET setting in the BIOS. On some motherboards you can toggle HPET in the BIOS, maybe it's off on yours. Some BIOSes also allows you to toggle 32- and 64-bit mode. Patch your DSDT (there's a special HPET fix included in the various patchers) or install the Chameleon 2.0 RC2 bootloader and enable the HPET fix in Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist.
