Severnya
Hi all, Im not a sound guru so I would appreciate some help. I am getting a MacBook and I want to get surround sound output from it. I own some Logitech 6.1 speakers which take 3 minijack inputs (front, rear, sub/centre) They work a treat on my desktop and I would like to get them to work on the macbook, for DVD's and what not. So, I wondered if Creative Labs Decoder DDTS-100 would do the buisness. Could a Mac/Audio guru lend me any ideas as to if this would work/blow me up/kill people. etc Thanks people Rich Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17842-surround-sound-from-macbook/ Share on other sites
DiaboliK
i would go for a external usb sound card or usb dongle. to do it or just goto radioshack or fry's or your neighbourhood equivilent and pick up a few male to 2 or 3 female stereo mini splitter. altho it will have stereo sound it will pick up on all channels, it wont actually be 6.1 surround. or you can adjust your audio timings to make it as close to surrond as possible.
