I am trying to use garageband which is part of the iLife '09 bundle. The problem is when I try to do the lessons in garageband, it contacts the mothership that is apple and rejects me; saying I need a dual core intel based mac... I am using iDeneb v.10.5.6 with several kernels.

I tried the modbins, voodoo, and no kernal(vanilla) with no luck. Any idea how to bypass the pain in the ass Apple corp?!

You probably got a bad *iLife 09, its not your OS install its the Application install that must have an error while installingion

Distro I used: iAtkos v7 (10.5.7 install)

Yes, you need at least a Intel Core to work.... I couldn't have the lesson to work when I was using Pentium 4 system.

later I upgraded to Intel Pentium D and it works. Now, I have Intel Core 2 Duo and Garageband works like a charm... I even have a MIDI keyboard hooked with it to learn to play the piano...

make sure that the OSX recognised the intel core...

I have tried iATKOS_v7, ideneb1.5 and xXx distros... all are good... have installed the stock kernel for vanilla...
