fishmaven Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Firefox doesn't work right on 10.3.9, there are KNOWN issues with Gmail and others. This is really beginning to cause me problems. I love Firefox but may have to switch to another browser to use Gmail on my laptop. Before switching I'd like to know if anyone is running 10.5 or above on a Pismo 500MHz. (Of course, I'd prefer to go to 10.5.7 but… ) If so, I can start using a newer Firefox. I want to use Xmarks too and I need Firefox 3 or another browser. Thanks for considering an answer. Chris Mills Posted July 25, 2009 Share Posted July 25, 2009 No chance on a Pismo. I suspect Tiger (10.4) will be fine. I have Tiger on my G4 Power Mac and know it will run on a G3 iMac, and I'm pretty sure it will run on a Pismo. It also will work with the latest version of FF and also with Safari 4. Upgrade the processor on it to a G4 (this is one of the last Apple laptops you can do this). and 2. Hack the installer (it's impossibly easy) to accept your system for install.
