maco55
I'm trying to install os x on my laptop. I have the hdd formatted as GUID and partitioned as Mac OS Extended (journaled). When I start os x installation it says "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer". Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? maco55
I noticed that while booting using the bootloader i get this but disappears really quickly: "System config file /com.apple.boot .s/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist" not found. could this be a problem? but i boot into osx installer anyway, so im not sure if its a problem or not. Daveta
you are listing 2 different problems....which is stopping you? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176017-it-says-i-cant-install-osx/#findComment-1207269 Share on other sites
maco55
The first problem is stopping me. The second is just an observation and it's not hindering anything. I'm really frustrated right now, the laptop is fully compatible except the intel wireless card. It's a FS Esprimo U9200. As I said, i used disk utility to format the hdd, but gives me cannot install osx on this computer. I'm using a retail 10.5.4 leopard with the proper boot132 and extensions. maco55
I managed to install kalyway 10.5.2 but when I get to the "Already Own a Mac?" screen i click on Continue and it brings me back to the multilingual welcome screen. Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/176017-it-says-i-cant-install-osx/#findComment-1207856 Share on other sites
