I am using iDeneb 1.4 10.5.6 installer with the following machine HP m9520F Asus IPIBL-LB Intel Core 2 Quad CUP Q8300 @ 2.50Ghz w/ Intel G33 Chipset Audio: ALC888S Memory: 8gb DDR2 PC2-6400 (400 mhz) (4x 2gb Modules) Bios settings: V02.61 SATA Contoler set to AHCI I have decided to run a single boot OS-X install and used Disc Utility to create a large partition. I formatted it using the OSX Journal approach. installed the OS and when I reboot i just get a white screen with an Apple Logo ... Nothing else. When I try and execute CPUS=1 I get the same screen with a spinning grey wheel under the logo ... Booted with -V The last line of text is MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 luster IO buffer headers The last line that says "Loading" is Loading security extension com.apple.nke.applicationfirewall Does this help? I Tried downloading the iAtkos v7 image ... system starts to read from disc then reboots ... I'm having NO luck ... davehazle Posted July 12, 2009 Author Share Posted July 12, 2009 Alright, so I guess I'll just use this forum as an account of my experiences in hopes that it helps someone else. Has to reinstall windows I'm order to flash bios as per a previous forum post with the same Mobo. iAtkos then booted and installed. Almost there! But the install would not boot without th cd in th drive, thought it was due to the restore partiton that came with my hp elite. Used disk utility to remove this partition. Inadvertantly ruinedthe boot sector of the drive, can't format using theberase comand without errors.
