Respectful Admin, Mod, and members;

I am new to MAC OS, i want to install MAC on my pc b/c i love the way the apple built MAC OS and the its features...

Please be kind enough to help me with this...

I have a current DVD : MacOSx 10.4.3 8F1111A Patched Jas v4.

 

I would like to know, if my custom pc work with this mac os

 

here is my system details:

 

Inter® Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz

3.00 GB RAM

NAVIDIA GeForce 8400GS

Gigabyte S-series EP45-DS3L : motherboard

That PC would actually work better with OS X 10.5 Leopard.

 

You may need to select a few fixes from the installation DVD, depending on what type, it is usually right before you start installing OS X (The customize button on the lower left hand side of the window after you select your hard drive)

 

Know your hardware before you install OS X though, you need the right fixes.

This site has all the devices listed for your motherboard, the main drivers needed are South bridge (ICH10), Ethernet (Realtek 8111C) and the Audio Chipset (Realtek ALC888).

If some of the drivers are not on the CD, look around these forums for .kext files, these are the driver files for hardware and look for a guide on how to install them properly.
